DALLAS, TEXAS, November 17, 2011 – H.A. Tillmann Hein, M.D., President of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, has appointed TSA member and colleague, Mark A. Margolis, M.D., as the representative of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologist to the Texas Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee.
In his new role, Dr. Margolis, will act as a liaison between the TSA and the TX Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee. He will be responsible for providing substantive information and feedback on Medicare coverage and policies, both locally and nationwide. He will also be able to provide input on future policies.
Dr. Margolis received his Medical Degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. While completing his residency at Tulane, he served as the Chief Resident. Prior to joining Metropolitan Anesthesia Consultants in 2005, he was a member of the clinical faculty at both Tulane University School of Medicine and Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, is a member of the Dallas County Anesthesia Society, Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia. He also serves as the Chairman of the Compliance Committee for Metropolitan Anesthesia.
