Complications / Risks

As with any operation and the use of anesthesia, there is some risk involved.

The severity of this risk is dependent on many factors including the type of surgery, whether the surgery or procedure is an emergency or not, the medical health of the patient and the duration of the procedure. Despite these factors, the risk of complications due to anesthesia is extremely rare. These rare potential problems may include cardiac (heart), pulmonary (breathing), nerve injury and dental injury. However, physicians with Metro Anesthesia are committed to providing the safest conditions for our patients. Our doctors will be attentive to our patient’s needs in order to create a positive surgical experience.
